Live export - dairy heifers

RD1 Livestock Agents

RD1 Livestock arranges live export of stock. Here we deal primarily in dairy cattle for export. We've experienced strong demand from overseas in the last few years.

We source cattle (generally Friesian or Jersey heifers) for most exporters; all year round purchasing.

Why export?

  1. Extra value for F12+ Friesian weaners or yearling heifers - above the level the local domestic market can sustain
  2. An opportunity to sell lower indexed F12+ heifers
  3. Good revenue income at difficult times of the season
  4. Has an overall impact on values of other classes of cattle
  5. A good farming option to buy weaners and sell to exporters
  6. Encourages extra replacements to be reared

RD1 Livestock has very strong, direct contacts with exporters that offer significant benefits to clients.
