National Spore Count Summary

East Coast Northland Waikato Bay of Plenty Taranaki Lower North Island
National Summary for the Week Ending 03/02/2012
Spore counts are starting to creep up now from zero since a lot of the country has had some warm, wet conditions over the last week. If this weather continues, I would expect counts to rise quite rapidly.

The regional spore counts are a guide only. Spore counts vary region to region, farm to farm and even paddock to paddock. To help you make the right decisions for your farm it is strongly advised that farmers take spore counts from their own farms. The SporeWatch on farm test kits are an easy convenient way to check the spore levels on the individual farms. Just take a sample of faeces from the shed after milking, put it in the courier bag provided and put it in the letterbox for rural post to collect. Results will be back to the farmer within 48 hours.
